Jomsom-Muktinath trek is the holiest trek for the Hindus along the trails of barren landscapes. Muktinath represent as a part of the Lord Vishnu(great Hindu god) situated in the Mustang region about an altitude of 3710m.It is the holiest Hindu pilgrimage trek about 5-6 hrs. Jomsom Muktinath trekking is one of the most popular treks in Annapurna region. so firstly we will begin our tour from Kathmandu with the sightseeing activity of UNESCO World heritage Sites. Places like Kathmandu durbar Square, holiest pilgrimage like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath known as the monkey temple. The very next day we will head towards the pleasant city Pokhara via the roadway enjoying the nature en route. We will take a flight to Jomsom the next day from Pokhara starting our awaited trek to Muktinath another day. After the holiest visit we will be back to Jomsom from Muktinath the next day and to Pokhara another day by flight. This day we will have the sightseeing activity of the decent Pokhara valley and explore the colorful lakes and mysterious caves of the city. Itinerary Details:
Day 1-Arrival at the airport, transfer to hotel: Our Nepal Planet Treks representative will assist you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2-Sightseeing of Kathmandu city: Sightseeing of the World Heritage Sites in the valley. Historical places like Kathmandu Durbar Square, pilgrimages like Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and the holiest Aryaghat as well which is the place for the cremation of Hindus as ritual. Swayambhunath which is also known as the monkey temple with its four eyes on its four sides representing love, compassion, peace and prosperity.
Day 3-Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 hrs drive): The next day we will head towards the pleasant city Pokhara via road enjoying the beauty of the nature en route. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 4-Pokhara to Jomsom (30 min flight): In the very first hour we will take a flight to the fabulous place Jomsom from Pokhara. Overnight.
Day 5-Jomsom to Muktinath (5-6 hrs trek): Finally the day comes for the awaited trek to the holiest site Muktinath from Jomsom. Overnight.
Day 6-Muktinath to Jomsom (5-6 hrs trek): Following the same trail we will descend back to Jomsom from Muktinath. Overnight at Jomsom.
Day 7-Jomsom to Pokhara (30 min flight): We will be back to Pokhara early from Jomsom and start our sight seeing activity of the decent city Pokhara. Overnight.
Day 8-Back to Kathmandu (6 hrs drive): Via the same road way route we will be back to Kathmandu from Pokhara hitting 200 km drive on the road enjoying the overwhelming rivers by roadside and charming paddy fields on the way. Overnight.
Day 9-Final Departure: Our Trip and Trek representative will escort you to the international airport and greets you for farewell hoping you will be back again planning some treks and tours to this wonderland of Nepal.
