Manaslu Expedition ~2024/2025 Overview
The Manaslu expedition is an adventurous climbing expedition to the 8th highest mountain on the globe known as Mount Manaslu with a proud height of 8,163 meters. Mount Manaslu resides in the government-protected region of Manaslu Conservation Area in the mid-western region of Nepal. The Manaslu Mountain climbing is more technical and challenging in comparison to Cho-Oyu so climbers should have excellent mountaineering training and experience.
The Manaslu expedition begins by following the trekking trail of Budi Gandaki valley leading to Samagaon. The climbers make their first camp for acclimatization at 4600 meters below the Manaslu Base Camp. The next camp is made at Manaslu Base Camp at 4750 meters. The climbing of Mount Manaslu to higher elevation needs to follow the cane marker pointers using fixed ropes for crossing the bergschrunds.
The next high camp is made at 5700 meters at the bottom of the North Peak. The High-Camp2 is made at an altitude of 6400 meters and High-Camp 3 is made at 6800 meters just below the col. The climbing continues further higher at camp 4 at 7400 meters which is the last high camp of our expedition. The climbers after high camp 4 follow a 6 hours climbing trail to reach the summit and make camp there. The climbers have to pass through the moderate slope to climb towards the summit along with the pyramid slope. The climbers then traverse for around 70 meters using fixed ropes leading towards the summit. The climbers after successful ascend to summit return to base camp and pack for home.

Starting from the fact that Manaslu is an 8-thousand meter mountain, it is obviously going to be difficult. Climbing it is only intended for seasoned mountaineers and of course, technical skills including glacier trekking, using crampons, fixed ropes, and other climbing equipment is necessary to tackle this challenging yet rewarding peak.
