The Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most iconic and rewarding treks in the world, offering stunning Himalayan views and a chance to immerse yourself in the culture of the Sherpa people. Here’s a suggested itinerary for a 12-night/13-day trek to Everest Base Camp:

Looking to trek the Everest Base Camp Trek some time end January, February March April and May 2024/2025. Dates are rather fixed for me (Email.:sanjibtrekguide@gmail.com) due to the number of leave days I can play around with.

Just looking for someone to join the trek. I don’t mind trekking together or doing it alone Open to suggestions.

Details Itinerary 2024/25

Day 1: Kathmandu (Arrival)

  • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
  • Transfer to your hotel and rest after your journey.
  • Explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s tourist hub, and prepare for your trek.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla (Flight) – Trek to Phakding

  • Take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a thrilling experience with breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
  • Start your trek from Lukla to Phakding, a relatively easy walk that takes around 3-4 hours.
  • Overnight stay in Phakding.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

  • Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region.
  • The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and includes several suspension bridges.
  • Arrive in Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa town, after about 5-6 hours of trekking.
  • Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

  • Spend a day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
  • Take a hike to Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.
  • Explore the local markets, visit the Sherpa Museum, and interact with the friendly locals.
  • Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

  • Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, a beautiful village famous for its monastery.
  • Enjoy stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam along the way.
  • Visit Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the region.
  • Overnight stay in Tengboche.

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche

  • Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, a small village nestled in a picturesque valley.
  • The trail offers panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks and passes through rhododendron forests and alpine meadows.
  • Arrive in Dingboche after about 5-6 hours of trekking.
  • Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

  • Spend another day for acclimatization in Dingboche.
  • Take a short hike to Nangkartshang Peak or Chhukung Valley for acclimatization and stunning views.
  • Relax and enjoy the mountain scenery.
  • Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche

  • Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche, following the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier.
  • The trail gradually ascends, offering breathtaking views of Everest, Nuptse, and other peaks.
  • Arrive in Lobuche after about 5-6 hours of trekking.
  • Overnight stay in Lobuche.

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorak Shep, then Everest Base Camp, and back to Gorak Shep

  • Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp.
  • After a brief rest in Gorak Shep, continue trekking to Everest Base Camp, a challenging but rewarding journey.
  • Spend some time at Everest Base Camp, take photos, and soak in the atmosphere.
  • Return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar and Trek to Pheriche

  • Early morning hike to Kala Patthar, one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region, for sunrise views of Everest and surrounding peaks.
  • Descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then trek back to Pheriche.
  • Overnight stay in Pheriche.

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

  • Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar, retracing your steps along the trail.
  • Enjoy the downhill trek and soak in the last views of the Himalayas.
  • Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla

  • Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, your final day of trekking.
  • Celebrate the completion of your trek with your guide and fellow trekkers.
  • Overnight stay in Lukla.

Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu (Flight)

  • Take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
  • Transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
  • Spend the day exploring Kathmandu or relaxing before your departure.
  • Optionally, participate in a farewell dinner with your trekking group and guides.

This itinerary provides a well-paced trek with ample time for acclimatization and enjoyment of the stunning Himalayan scenery. Keep in mind that weather conditions and individual fitness levels may affect the trekking schedule, so flexibility is essential. 2. Kathmandu Hotel two nights with breakfast and bed and breakfasts plan
3. Kathmandu to Lukla and Lukla to kathmandu flight tickets for clients & guide
4. Best available lodge and tea house accommodation during the trek

6. Domestic flights and exit taxes
7. A trekking leader – well english speaking, experienced, knowledgeable .
8. All nesserary national park fees, permits and paper works (Everest national park permits and TIMS)

1. Nepal Visa fees on your airport arrival (You should bring accurate USD cash and two passport size picture)
2. personal expenses (Shopping, Laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, mineral water or boiled water, Phone calls, Hot shower etc)
3. Your Lunch and dinners in Kathmandu (This apply also early come back from trek then the fixed itinerary)
4. Extra night accommodation in kathmandu than above itinerary.
5. International fare/arrival taxes/departure taxes to and from Kathmandu
