Day by day Itinerary:
Day 1: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1,570 meters)
Drive: From Pokhara to Nayapul (1-1.5 hours by road)
Trek: Nayapul to Tikhedhunga (4-5 hours)
The trek starts from Nayapul and follows the trail along the Modi Khola. You’ll pass through several small villages, terraced fields, and waterfalls before reaching Tikhedhunga.
Accommodation: Teahouse in Tikhedhunga
Day 2: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,850 meters)
Trek Duration: 6-7 hours
Begin the day with a steep climb up to Ulleri (2,070 meters) with over 3,200 stone steps. After Ulleri, the trail becomes more gradual, passing through rhododendron forests and beautiful villages.

Day 3: Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210 meters) to Tadapani (2,630 meters)
Trek Duration: 6-7 hours (including the early morning hike to Poon Hill)
Early Morning: Hike to Poon Hill (45 minutes to 1 hour) for the sunrise. Poon Hill offers panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.
Return to Ghorepani: Descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast.
Trek to Tadapani: Continue the trek through dense forests and enjoy more mountain views.
Accommodation: Teahouse in Tadapani
Day 4: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940 meters) and Return to Pokhara
Trek Duration: 3-4 hours
The trail descends through a dense forest and reaches the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk, known for its rich culture and tradition.
Explore Ghandruk: Take some time to explore the village, visit the Gurung museum, and enjoy the views.
Drive to Pokhara: From Ghandruk, a short walk leads to the road where you can drive back to Pokhara (2-3 hours by road)

Best Time to Trek
Spring (March to May): Rhododendron forests are in bloom, and the weather is mild.
Autumn (September to November): Clear skies and stunning mountain views make this the most popular trekking season. Winter (December to February): Cold mornings and evenings, but the trek is still possible with proper gear. Monsoon (June to August): Not recommended due to heavy rains and slippery trails.
Accommodation and Food Teahouses: Simple lodges offering basic facilities like a bed, blanket, and meals. The food is usually Nepali dal bhat, noodles, soup, and other basic items. Food: Local and basic, with options for international cuisine in some teahouses. Always eat where the food is freshly prepared. Permits Required

Clothing: Similar to the Balthali trek, but consider bringing warmer layers as Poon Hill can be cold, especially for the sunrise. Footwear: Sturdy trekking boots with good grip are essential for the steep and sometimes muddy trails. Trekking Poles: Helpful for the steep ascents and descents.
Fitness Level and Preparation Fitness: Moderate level of fitness is recommended. The trek involves significant uphill and downhill walking, especially on the second and third days. Preparation: Regular cardio exercises, hiking practice, and leg strengthening will help you enjoy the trek more comfortably.
