Nepal: Climate & Weather
Nepal benefits from a dry season from September to May when temperatures can exceed 30°C in Kathmandu, followed by a wet season from June to September. You can visit Nepal at any time of the year depending on the area you choose to visit.
If you plan to go trekking in the mountains it is best to go between August and March so avoiding the rain and enjoying the sunshine. It can get very cold though above 3,000 meters during the months of December and January. Avoid Kathmandu in May and June when the heat becomes overpowering and the roads and streets become thick with mud.
